Colliers International have teamed up with PTY Property to offer our clients the ability to bid live via the internet from any location during our in-room auctions. Bids are received in real time and incorporated into the auction.

What is live online bidding and how can it help buyers?

Imagine you have found your ideal property, but you can’t be at the auction – perhaps you are doing business at another location, are travelling or are looking to acquire property in another state.

This service allows you to see and hear the auctioneer LIVE and place your bids for the property LIVE via your computer at your chosen location. You will see the status of all bids on the screen, so you will know exactly where the auction is at all times.

Does it work?

Colliers International, in conjunction with PTY Property sold the first commercial property sale via live online bidding in 2010, with a Newcastle industrial facility selling under the hammer by Colliers International to an expat-Australian living and working in Singapore.

Where is online bidding available?

Currently all Colliers International Auction Portfolio properties being auctioned in rooms in New South Wales and Queensland are streamed live.  Watch this space in 2011 with the introduction of online bidding for offsite auctions in Victoria.
