Falls Retreat, home to the Australian Tennis Academy on Sydney’s north shore, will be placed on the market next week with Colliers International after being held by the same family for almost three decades.
Colliers International’s Henry Burke and Brian McInally will market the property via an expressions of interest campaign concluding at 12pm on Thursday 3 May.
The Falls Retreat, located at 1110 Oxford Falls Road, enjoys and outstanding position nestled in the quiet and secluded valley of Oxford Falls.
Positioned in the Oxford Falls valley with excellent links to Sydney CBD and the northern beaches the property is fully landscaped offering complete privacy. The property consists of 12 ‘motel style’ overnight rooms, caretakers rooms, 12 synthetic grassed courts, an excellent function centre with liquor license, ample parking and pool and BBQ facilities for members and guests.
Mr Burke said proposals in place for expansion and the first rate amenities on offer The Falls Retreat presents as one of the very few first class multiple use recreational, commercial and social destinations in Sydney.
“We are already fielding interest from sport and recreation business owners and hospitality function centre owners looking to secure such a unique opportunity,” he said.
Being offered for the first time in 27 years, Kevin and Glenys Collins formed the Australian Tennis Academy in 1985 to offer a high quality tennis venue and top quality tennis coaching under the stewardship of Ross Jones.
In 1991, the Collins’ added 12 ‘motel style’ accommodation rooms and a function centre, much to the pleasure of members and guests.
Today the Australian Tennis Academy is still holding weekly tennis competitions and playing host to weddings and social functions in the area.
