Colliers International fills tenancies in newly upgraded shopping centre precinct
Modbury Triangle Shopping Centre has been transformed into a new community meeting place for Adelaide following a three-year refurbishment.
The centre has had $10millon spent on a complete upgrade to its car parks, malls and building facades, attracting an influx of new retail tenancies and an Australian Red Cross Blood Service clinic.
Colliers International’s Real Estate Management, Retail Leasing and Office Leasing teams joined forces to execute the leasing program, committing eight new tenants to the centre and relocating four others.
“These works have been completed to both improve the amenity for its customers and respond to a demand for additional health services required for the region,” Office Leasing executive Tom Isaksson said.
Office Leasing director Jon Cranna said it was “pleasing” to see Modbury Triangle’s owner’s vision coming to fruition following years of hard work and careful planning.
“While already being rewarded for this initiative, there is still further opportunity in the centre itself and on its periphery,” he said.
Among the new tenancies is Sushi Planet, a full-service and take-away restaurant off-shoot from the thriving West Terrace eatery.
At the western end of the mall, the new blood donor clinic complements Benson Radiology, Healthscope and Hearing Life.
“New services to the area bring new customers, and the potential to provide ancillary health services or the more traditional retail uses to trade off that influx is almost self-fulfilling,” Retail Leasing executive Lauren Smith said.
SA Heart has also established a satellite clinic, at a periphery site on Smart Road.
