Lease for Uniqlo’s flagship Perth store negotiated by Colliers International.
Japanese retailer Uniqlo has confirmed it will open its first store in Perth’s CBD by mid-year.
Following a lease negotiated by Colliers International’s Ben Tana, the fashion retailer will occupy a 1290sqm store under construction at Plaza Arcade.
The Perth store will be Uniqlo’s 15th in Australia.
Part of the Tokyo-based Fast Retailing Group, Uniqlo expanded into Australia in 2014 and has stores in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Mr Tana said Uniqlo’s mainstay brand of comfortable, everyday clothes would be well-received by Perth’s consumers.
“Uniqlo will occupy a two-level store on the Murray Street end of Plaza Arcade, putting it at one of the CBD’s busiest fashion junctions,” he said.
“Offering casual wear for all ages, Uniqlo’s arrival will broaden the CBD’s international retail fashion market.”
