This retail project involved refurbishment of 100 existing shops on level 2, the creation of additional floor space to provide a total of 120 shops, including a premium mall section, the demolition of level 1 mezzanine floor, infill of void to create new level for 20 bulky goods stores and a food court, and creation of a new ground 1 (basement) carpark. Construction was staged to realise 34 separate IOC stages to minimise impact on trading and Centres operations. The project also included construction of a new food court and extension of a new 4 level carpark extending spaces from approximately 1,100 to 2,020 spaces. 

Colliers International provided overall project management as Colonial First State’representative superintendent for detailed design development, D&C tender and negotiation, and construction delivery through to end of project completion of the defects liability period.

The project required management of multiple key tenants. Due to the nature of DFO, tenants were categorised into specialty shops and managed accordingly.
