First Sydney residential property management office opens

28/07/2010

Colliers International today announced it opened the doors to its first residential property services and management office in Sydney this week after merging with premium apartment specialists, Watermark Property Management.

The office, located on King Street Wharf, continues the business' full continuum of real estate services now offering investors of Sydney CBD and fringe apartments the benefit of Colliers International's residential property management expertise.

Peter Chittenden, Colliers International Managing Director of Residential, said professional residential property management is a separate and highly skilled area of real estate that demands expert personnel plus an effective and systemised approach to management to maximise returns.

"The Colliers International Residential team has worked successfully with Watermark for five years and the synergy and like-minded professionalism has proven to be a winning formula," he said.

"Implementation of the merger has been seamless and a natural progression for both businesses."

Watermark currently has a rent roll of more than 250 luxury Sydney homes and apartments, which will continue to grow under the Colliers International banner.

The office is also strategically positioned adjacent to Lend Lease's $6 billion Barangaroo development with plans currently before NSW Department of Planning to deliver about 800 apartments and more than 300,000sq m of office space.

Mr Chittenden said over the years Watermark managing director, Belinda Crowe, has built strong relationships in the leasing and property management arena and will continue to lead the team.

"The existing Colliers International sales strength will be able to handle any sales requirements, which will leave the property management team fully focused on client service."
