Stylish retail refurb to boost Burleigh
Signalling new beginnings for the coastal suburb of Burleigh Heads, a multi-million dollar refurbishment of the former Australia Post building on the corner of James and Connor Streets is nearing completion, breathing new life into the precinct with its fresh stylish design and range of offerings.
Ian Carrigan, Director Retail for Queensland and Andrew Spottiswood, Retail Assistant Executive, both from Colliers International, are handling the marketing campaign for the property, which is located on a prominent north facing site, within the James Street tourist precinct, on behalf of the owner.
Mr Carrigan said the owner wanted to give the site a dynamic, new look and provide more dining and retail options to complement the James Street offerings.
"Anchor tenant the Coffee Club is supported by a Japanese Sushi restaurant, Bottle Shop and speciality homewares retailer Balocco Bears and Gift Shop," he said.
"Just one 155sq m tenancy remains, presenting an ideal opportunity for another quality food retailer or restaurant."
The building has been tenanted by major banks for many years and more recently, Australia Post. The Telstra Exchange will continue operating from the second floor of the building.
The property is positioned opposite the iconic Burleigh Beach and holiday apartments and is close to a range of national businesses, including a Bank of Queensland, Commonwealth Bank, Nandos Restaurant, Newsagents, Fishmongers, James Street Deli, Dominos Pizza and Pharmacy.
Burleigh Heads is situated between Surfers Paradise and Coolangatta in the heart Gold Coast, and boasts one of the Coast's premium beaches. This unique location enjoys a devoted local clientele combined with strong tourism figures year after year.
