Owner-occupier banks business on Alderley

August 02, 2010 | Commercial

A former Commonwealth Bank building, located on the corner of Samford Road and Lorne Street in Alderley, has sold under the hammer for $965K, to a national business which will occupy the premises.

Jeff Dolan, Associate Director Special Projects and Trevor Weinert, Executive Investment Sales both from Colliers International, facilitated the sale at an on-site Auction which was held on Thursday, 15 July 2010.

Mr Dolan said the property has attracted a lot of interest, with businesses recognizing the potential of the suburb, which is located just six kilometers from Brisbane’s CBD and is set to undergo significant re-gentrification in the near future.

“Businesses within the area are set to benefit from a proposed village-style, mixed-use community to be named Alderley Square, which will no doubt transform the suburb and result in an increased flow of visitors to the area,” he said.

“The Commonwealth Bank will continue to operate an on-site ATM under a license agreement for an initial term of five years, at $13,000 per annum.”

The two-level freestanding building spans approximately 442sq m  and comprises a banking chamber, three offices, strong-room, plus staffroom, male and female amenities and storeroom on the upper floor, plus a separate retail tenancy which is approximately 125sq m in size.
