Space next to Pedders up for grabs
June 12, 2012
An opportunity to be situated next to the reputable Pedders Suspension on the well-exposed Ferry Road in Southport is up for grabs, with space becoming available for sublease.
The 300sq m of space at 72B Ferry Road is now surplus to automotive suspension specialists Pedders requirement and it is keen to re-lease the spare space to a suitable tenant.
Josh Wright, Colliers International Gold Coast Industrial Executive, who is acting on behalf of Pedders to lease the space, said it would be best suited to tenants in the motor vehicle industry that can bounce off the business attracted by Pedders.
“The 300sq m of available space is situated in the same building as the space Pedders continues to occupy on Ferry Road,” he said.
“Pedders Suspension has secured council approval for motor vehicle repairs to be undertaken in the whole building, so if the incoming tenant was operating that type of business it would not have to worry about getting approval, which is a huge plus.
“This vacancy is one of the only properties along the Ferry Road stretch that is already approved for motor vehicle repair.”
While the property would suit users in the motor vehicle repair space, Mr Wright said it would also cater for a wide range of users, being zoned as showroom.
“A tenant could use the property as showroom, but you have also got the added use of motor vehicle repair if required,” he said.
Mr Wright said the property at 72 Ferry Road offered unparalleled exposure to main Southport thoroughfare and was situated in a prime spot, right next door to McDonald’s.
“Not only will the tenant be situated in a well exposed spot in the central suburb of Southport, but it would also be located next door to one of the most profitable Pedders Suspension stores in Queensland,” he said.
Mr Wright said Pedders were very keen to sublease the surplus space and were willing to consider all offers for the space.
