As Chief Executive Officer, Australia and New Zealand, I have led the diversification of the Colliers International business, developing new areas of expertise for the brand via organic growth and strategic acquisitions. I am also a member of both the Global and the Asia Pacific Executive at Colliers International, driving the strategy, client focus and culture of the company around the world.

Having joined Colliers International in 1991, I have held various roles in commercial and industrial transactions, valuations and corporate real estate over the course of my property career.

Anneke Thompson

Anneke began her property career in 2004, and in that time has gained experience across many facets of commercial property including leasing, consultancy, research, feasibility analysis, forecasting, and financing.

Anneke leads the Australian Research team for Colliers International, and as part of this role manages the production of all of Colliers’ Research and Forecast Reports (RFRs), as well as our Colliers EDGE data subscription product. She has a particular focus on office markets – both the Capital Markets and leasing sectors – and contributes annually to the Capital Markets’ teams Investment Review series.

Anneke is regularly called upon to present at property industry forums run by groups such as the Property Council of Australia (PCA), the Australian Property Institute (API) and Property Investment Research (PIR). She has also contributed to a number of panel discussions, and regularly presents to Colliers’ wide variety of client groups.

As the ANZ CFO for Colliers International and as a member of the ANZ Executive I have responsibility for organisational wide leadership, driving sound financial strategy and control, plus ensuring effective risk management across the ANZ business.

Having joined Colliers International in 2016, my career has spanned 20+ years leading Finance and Technology functions including large scale transformations, developing business & cost effectiveness strategies, business planning and strategy - both globally and across Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining Colliers International I held various leadership positions at Scentre Group (formerly Westfield), Hewlett Packard (HP) Financial Services, Compaq Computers and an early career in the Chartered Accounting profession at BDO Nelson Parkhill.

Peter Chittenden

My professional knowhow stems from an extensive career in Residential property development, project marketing, site acquisition and property valuation.

I rejoined Colliers International 9 years ago as Managing Director, and since then I have worked to grow my team and our Residential division by more than 300%.

Across the country we have successfully launched and sold over 100 Residential projects, and we have played an instrumental role in every aspect of these successes for our clients.

I have built a team that offers the complete end to end service for our clients and customers alike, from the site aquisition right through to the sale and settlement of every last apartment. 

My 30+ years of experience in real estate, and genuine passion for property has seen me involved across numerous key industry bodies and groups, as well as the establishment of my own thought leading blog, projectagenda.com.au with over 4000 followers from within the industry. 

Prior to my time at Colliers International, I held the position of National Sales and Marketing Manager for Stockland Apartments. During his time I launched and managed a national portfolio of major projects and led a large national sales and marketing team. Prior to this, I started and ran my own successful project marketing company, Realm Project Marketing, for three years specialising in large land estates, housing and apartment projects predominantly in NSW, providing a high level of service that extended beyond the traditional sales appointment.

In my earlier role at Colliers International I was the National Director, Residential Land Marketing, where I established a highly successful division which led to the appointment of our business to project market several major estates in Sydney and Melbourne, which commenced long lasting relationships that our business still maintains today.

Zoe Powell

I am a Director for Colliers International Melbourne Residential commencing with the compnay in 2006. With over 11 years experience and expertise at Colliers International Residential. Our business is the market leader in Melbourne off the plan apartment sales, specialising in the sell-out of large scale residential developments including high density apartment towers from traditional residential product to high end luxury residences and medium to high density inner suburban developments comprising both apartments and townhouses.

Our team works with an extensive clientele of local and international developers across the three specialised divisions – Project Marketing, Development Site Sales and Land Site Sales. These three respective divisions work concurrently enabling the business to extend their reach and market penetration across the Melbourne Residential market. 

The Project Marketing team are market leaders, specialising in the development and implementation of sales and marketing campaigns for large scale residential development projects, providing a full service function from site introduction to settlement. In recent years, I have negotiated some of Australia’s largest real estate transactions and have been instrumental in successfully brokering many substantial transactions with overseas investors entering the Australian market. My extensive connectivity in the global real estate market can unite capital with local expertise, regardless of location.

Our national Investment Services business represents market specializations including Capital Markets and Investment Sales. The two clear divisions servicing the Australian commercial office market ensures complete market coverage, efficiency and premium experiences and successes for our clients.

Anna commenced her property career in 2012, working in commercial and industrial valuations. Given her background, Anna is widely regarded for her market knowledge and technical expertise. Her clients included a range of private investors, local and offshore listed real estate investment trusts, wholesale investment funds, superannuation and sovereign wealth funds as well as Government.

I specialise in major capital transactions in the Industrial property sector, and have acted for all levels of Government, listed and unlisted property institutions, private investment clients, and represented on behalf of global companies that occupy Australian Industrial property.

My dual role of NSW State Chief Executive makes me responsible for overseeing the growth strategies of all NSW offices.

I have a passion for providing a consistent, high-level service across all the major Australian industrial markets, and I am an active member of the Australian property community, regularly speaking at various industry events and seminars.

Prior to joining Colliers in April 2018, I spent more than twelve years working for industrial property giant, Goodman, where my experience spanned multiple disciplines including asset management, investment management and urban renewal (strategic planning and capital transactions).

My market knowledge is exceptional, having worked for Goodman both nationally in Melbourne and Sydney, as well as offshore in North America during my time as Associate Director of the Goodman North America Partnership based in Southern California.

My background in urban renewal along with extensive insights into the strategic planning of the Fishermans Bend precinct are especially valuable in my current role.

I have been with Colliers International for 25 years, joining the Office Leasing team in 1993 and worked my way up to Managing Director in 2005.  Along with managing the Office Leasing National Team I hold a number of senior positions within Colliers including a member of the ANZ Executive, Executive Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team.  I am a Licenced Estate Agent and a member of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria, Property council of Australia and RICS - Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyor.

Milly Stockdale

I was recruited to the Colliers International Office Leasing team in November 2015 after building a strong reputation as an up and coming office leasing agent in the Melbourne market.

In 2017, I was promoted to Associate Director, Office Leasing following an outstanding 2016 having transacted 77 leasing deals on behalf of institutional, corporate and private clients. I strive to exceed all client expectations and ensure I always provide the highest level of client and customer service.

Thus far in 2017, I have successfully concluded 100 leasing transactions totalling 64,419sqm on behalf of my clients. 83% of these transactions were brokered which is a testament to my strong work ethic and diligence.

I have been involved in successful leasing campaigns at 385 Bourke Street (15,000sqm) on behalf of DEXUS and 2 Lonsdale Street (20,000sqm) on behalf of ISPT. This campaign also won the REIV award for Best Office Leasing Campaign for 2017.

I work diligently for my clients and am currently appointed on iconic buildings across Melbourne including Rialto, 120 Collins Street & 447 Collins Street.

Michael Bate

I joined Colliers International after holding the position of National Business Manager for Stockland Commercial for 9 years. During this time I was responsible for the acquisition and disposal of just over $750M worth of Retail and Commercial assets.

Prior to my Capital Transactions role in Commercial Property, I was the Regional General Manager Leasing for the Stockland Shopping Centre portfolio.

Prior to Stockland, I was the National Leasing Manager for Lend Lease Retail here in Australia. I worked on some of Australia’s leading Retail projects including, Casuarina Darwin, Melbourne Central, Sunshine Plaza and Smithfield in QLD and Woden in the ACT. I was the Lend Lease Asset Manager for the Kiwi Income Fund and worked on several of their retail projects in New Zealand.

Prior to Lend Lease, I was a National Director with Jones Lang Wootton in both WA and NSW and ran the National Project Leasing team for again some of Australia’s best retail assets and Portfolios.

I also have a lengthy career in the media working for John Fairfax and Sons in TV and Radio for many years.

Tanya Krejci

In April 2016, Colliers International were successfully appointed on the management of the Vodafone portfolio, consisting of over 4,000 sites nationwide. As the Account Director, I have account and operational oversight including accountability for:

  • Implementation and management of Quality Management procedures and processes
  • Management of the Service Delivery team 
  • Delivery of all operational reporting

To date, we have achieved savings of over $54M for our client (over the term of the leases) and have doubled the original Account team in size

In 2018, I transitioned into a 50/50 split between leading the Vodafone Account and leading operations for Occupier Services - a role where I continue to grow and learn and I thoroughly enjoy being a part of our Occupier Services team - Division of the Year 2017 & 2018

Scott Anderson

As Managing Director of the Project Leaders division at Colliers, Scott leads a team of 60 talented and dedicated professionals. With 20 years of industry experience Scott has been involved in all stages of the project life cycle, from delivering major complex projects through the bid, feasibility and inception stage, to design and construction and finally the asset handover to the end client.

As Managing Director of Project Leaders at Colliers International, Scott takes a personal and dedicated approach to ensure the needs of all clients are fully understood and delivered to a high standard.

Simon Beirne

As the State Chief Executive of Queensland, Simon's responsibilities include overall supervision of the Queensland business comprising of 6 offices and over 200 staff. 

At Colliers, we work hard to connect internally to share knowledge about our clients and deliver better outcomes for them. This team ethos is a strong part of our culture and keeps our people highly engaged and it has kept Simon wanting to be part of this great business for the last 20 years.

Simon has over 25 years’ experience in the real estate industry and the agency having previously worked for Primac Elders as an auctioneer prior to joining Colliers International in 1998.

Simon's background is in industrial property where he has been responsible for some of the largest transactions in Queensland over the past 20 years.

In 2015 Simon was involved in the sale of the GIC/Frasers portfolio totalling $1.073 billion. This is the largest and highest quality industrial sale on record in the Australian market.

And in 2017 Simon had the pleasure of marketing the Coca-Cola Amatil Campus in Richlands which was sold to Charter Hall for $157m, making it the largest single industrial asset sale in Queensland's history.

Amy Hamilton

Amy Hamilon, Director - Retail Valuations, has over sixteen years of consultancy and valuation experience within Queensland and New South Wales commencing her career in the property industry in 2001.

During this time, Amy has been exposed to a wide range of property types, valuation methodologies and purposes of valuation. Such purposes include mortgage security, mortgagee in possession resumption/acquisition, property settlement (family law), asset management and other litigation matters.  

She is currently part of our Brisbane Commercial Valuation and Advisory Team.

Paul Powderly
State Chief Executive, ACT

As the State Chief Executive Officer of the Canberra office I am part of the Senior Leadership Team of the Australian business.  I currently run our National Government Services business and the agency business in the ACT.

I have been intimately involved in the development sector of the market for the past 30 years and consulted on more than 500 office and residential projects, with a major focus on institutional grade assets.

My experience in the office pre-commitment market is highlighted by my involvement in the delivery of the DoHA, DIMIA, DEEWR, Centrelink and Industry buildings, totalling in excess of 250,000sqm NLA.  Other major projects I have been involved in include the new Human Services building in Greenway ACT (26,000sqm), ATO building in Albury NSW, ATO buiilding in Chermside QLD and National Archives building in Mitchell, ACT

I am advisor to the ACT Government (Australian Forum/City to Lake) and advisor to council members of the Australian National University Investment Fund.  Through my GST knowledge I heavily influenced reforms on the Tax legislation on the margin scheme.

James Young
State Chief Executive | South Australia

During the 26 years that James Young has been with Colliers International he has worked in various national and international markets.  James has predominantly focused on business development at the institutional and major private Lessor and Developer level and on satisfying the accommodation needs of major space users in commercial office leasing markets.

James also works closely with the State Government. Leasing appointments of note include the Tonsley Innovation Precinct and, more recently, the old Royal Adelaide Hospital which is now known as Lot Fourteen.

In his role as State Chief Executive, James facilitates many opportunities throughout the local business on behalf of clients and customers of Colliers International.  Accordingly, his knowledge of South Australian property activity across all sectors is extensive.

Tanya Rofe

Tanya is Director of Valuation and Advisory Services within South Australia.  In this role Tanya and her team are responsible for conducting valuations of office, industrial, retail and corporate property.  

She has gained wide-ranging experience in providing professional property valuation and consultancy advice for various purposes including finance, financial reporting, insurance, leasing and rent review negotiation.

Tanya has acted for a wide range of clients including Listed Property Trusts, Superannuation Funds, Investment Syndicates, Major Financial Institutions, Private Investors, Corporates and all three levels of Government. 

Tanya has extensive experience in the valuation of both CBD and suburban office buildings, large scale distribution centres, manufacturing facilities and various retail assets.   In recent years, she has been directly involved in providing valuation services to State Government for the compulsory acquisiton of land. 

Tanya also has extensive experience in managing portfolio valuation assignments, maintaining regular communication with our clients and ensuring that the national Colliers team meets key milestones.

Cameron is an office leasing specialist who has focused on the pre-commitment market over the past 15 years within the Sydney CBD. Cameron has over 20 years of office leasing experience all with Colliers International. He has been appointed to some of Sydney's most significant recent developments including Westfield Sydney City on behalf of Scentre Group, 5 Martin Place on behalf of Dexus and Cbus Property, 121 Castlereagh St (the re-development of the David Jones mens store) on behalf of Cbus Property and AMP Capital's flagship project, Quay Quarter Tower.  

Cameron is the head of the NSW Office Leasing team in addition to being the Director in Charge of the Sydney CBD. Cameron is a member of the National Executive Leadership and Senior Leadership team.

I joined Colliers in 2013 in the position of National Director | Office Leasing based in the North Sydney office. I have over 20 years office leasing experience and expertise having previously worked within the North Sydney, Parramatta and Sydney CBD office leasing markets for Knight Frank Australia and Jones Lang LaSalle.
I am currently responsible for the Sydney Metropolitan area and manage a team of seven located in North Sydney. I provide the strategic direction for the Sydney Metropolitan leasing team to ensure their corporate objectives and targets are achieved. I specialise in North Shore office leasing covering key locations such as North Sydney, Chatswood, St Leonards and Macquarie Park

As Director of Marketing Operations for the Corporate Marketing & Communications team, my mandate is to help deliver the industry’s best marketing platform.  I drive the evolution of the Colliers International marketing data strategy, marketing technology platform, client communications, and our external and internal campaigns.  A key aspect of my position is to ensure that our business priorities and value proposition are supported and reinforced throughout all activities. 

Prior to my current role, I was the Director of Marketing for the Colliers International Americas Corporate Solutions team where I was responsible for the development of the Corporate Solutions marketing plan across the United States, Canada and Latin America.  Based in New York, I worked in partnership with key senior stakeholders to develop marketing and pursuit strategies targeting major global corporates looking to outsource their real estate needs.  My focus was on elevating the Colliers brand and service line internally and externally through the creation of quality and accurate marketing deliverables.

My career spans 11 years in the property industry both in Sydney and New York. My expertise lies across all asset classes, for both Investors and Occupiers.  Developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies to win new business, build brand dominance and assist in achieving optimum market share.

In order to continually develop and enhance the Corporate Marketing function at Colliers International, I will be drawing upon 20+ years of experience in the advertising industry.  My experience covers many different specialist areas that will contribute to the success of Colliers including brand development, creative strategy, media strategy and digital solutions.  

My relationship with Colliers started approximately 4 years before joining the business.  I was previosuly Head of Agency Australia for Adcorp Australia who were providing advertising services to Colliers and I was involved at a strategic level to develop a brand strategy and point of differentiation that would result in a first to market initiative.  As a result, I was a key player in bringing Project Blue to market which immediately differentiated Colliers in the market by changing the way property was advertised in print publications in conjunction with a digital media strategy that was a brand new initiative for the property industry.

One of my key strengths is understanding how a brand comes to life from the initial stages of qualitative and quantitative research, through to developing a strategically lead creative brief to protecting that brand with guidelines that are designed to strengthen it in the marketplace.  Along with key marketing skills and a strategic approach to business, I am well placed to assist Colliers in maintaining a first to market reputation and continue to provide differentiators that will drive continued revenue growth.
