Registered Property Valuer since 2007, initially starting with Herron Todd White as a cadet.
Proficient in valuing a variety of agribusiness assets including: cotton, vegetable, dryland farming and grazing enterprises, dairies, piggeries, chicken hatcheries and breeding facilities. Specialising in complex asset valuation assessments using EBITDA data with recent experience in cotton gins, flour mills, oil seed extraction and grain handling facilities
Prior to becoming a valuer in 2005 James worked as a livestock and property auctioneer/agent after a practical history of working on several large merino studs ("Egelabra", "Cressbrook") in NSW as a stud overseer specialising in stud stock and wool production.
James has had comprehensive experience of providing independent property advice to mortgage lenders, insurers, government bodies, private entities and their insurers and was exposed to a variety of valuation types including: In use, alternative use, as if complete, tax depreciation, stamp duty, retrospective, succession planning and rental determinations using a variety of valuation approaches and methodologies.
James is a 6th generational farmer with a diverse practical experience and degree in farm management provides him with a strong advantage and point of difference over other valuers in understanding the drivers of value and providing the correct advice to clients that add to the valuation process.
