Over the course of Peter’s 25 years’ in the property industry he has gained invaluable negotiation skills and track record in relation to commercial and retail property, along with mixed use and residential development sites (englobo and high density). Given his valuation background and understanding of the value drivers associated with all asset classes, coupled with his working knowledge of feasibility studies and Discounted Cash Flows he has also undertaken consultancy assignments for key clients, who rely on his expert opinion and strategic advice.
Peter has been part of Colliers International since 2002, and is deeply connected and can fully leverage all facets of the broader business, being a respected member of the National Senior Leadership Team.
Over his career Peter has gained unrivalled rapport with Local and State Government, private owners, Listed A-REITS, wholesale funds, development companies and large retail companies/owner occupiers.
Peter manages the largest dedicated commercial, industrial and real estate management team in the Hunter Region.

Michael Chapman joined Colliers International Newcastle’s commercial sales and leasing team in 2013, and has become well versed within the local market with a proven track record of success. He specialises in the commercial and retail property asset classes, with experience across Leasing, Investment Sales, Development Site Sales and Vacant Possession Sales.
During his career at Colliers International he has proven to be one of the most active agents in the industry, extremely motivated and a highly strategic operative that understands the sale and leasing process and market drivers. His extensive understanding of the commercial market and ability to generate leads through his local and national relationships has seen him achieve over $53,000,000 in sales and leases since 2017, completing over 143 transactions.

Luke Rutledge joined the Colliers International Newcastle team in 2014, having a pure focus on commercial sales and leasing across the Newcastle Region. Over the last five years at Colliers in Newcastle he has gained invaluable experience across a wide range of asset classes including Retail Sales and Leasing, Investment Sales, Development Site Sales, Commercial Leasing and Vacant Possession Sales. Nick Christensen joined the team of Colliers International Newcastle in 2016, and has a pure focus on commercial and retail property transactions across the Newcastle region.
Prior to joining Colliers International, Nick had gained ten years’ experience in the real estate industry, four years focusing on the sale and leasing of commercial and retail properties in and around the Newcastle area. Office Manager | Newcastle
Taylaw started her Real Estate career as a Receptionist in 2011 and since then she has progressed into various Administration and Property Management roles within the residential and commercial markets across the Newcastle region.
As Receptionist her responsibilities included being the first point of contact for all clients and visitors, managing and documenting all general enquiries on detail for properties, monitoring inbound and outbound calls and various administration duties. Taylaw was then promoted into the role of Business Systems Operator where she was responsible for assisting six Agents with all property transactions from start to finish, drafting and creating all advertising and marketing content in line with the company’s branding.
In 2016 Taylaw joined Colliers International Newcastle as Administration Assistant within the Real Estate Management team. In this role Taylaw was responsible for managing repairs and maintenance for a growing rent roll of approximately 200 Commercial, Industrial and Retail properties, liaising with contractors, landlords, tenants and strata managers. She was also responsible for completing rent review processes in a timely manner, ensuring tenant and supplier insurance compliance, implementing procedures to assist team productivity. During this time, she obtained invaluable knowledge in our Trust Accounting system and was responsible for lease administration, debt recovery and invoicing of tenants.
In 2017 Taylaw was promoted to the role of Property Manager and became responsible for a portfolio of around 45 commercial properties within the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie Region. Taylaw’s role involved Lease negotiations with tenants, Lease administration, Landlord reporting, payment of all property accounts, preparation of building budgets, financial reporting and all matters relating to Client Asset Management.
Taylaw was offered the role of Office Manager for the Newcastle office in late 2018 and works closely with the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team to execute business strategies and support the continued growth and success of the business by managing and introducing platforms, applications and initiatives to best suit the current market and technology. Taylaw is responsible for the operations of the company to ensure the smooth running of the office on a daily basis. Her role includes arranging staff corporate travel, presenting monthly Enterprise Meetings on behalf of Corporate, coordinate and provide guidance to the administration team, manage local WHS procedures, assist with IT equipment and troubleshooting and liaise with Head Office to rectify issues. Duties also include assisting in the process of recruitment, new staff set-up and staff exit, coordinate submissions and Information Memorandum with research and marketing team members, ensuring all marketing materials adhere to guidelines and provides a professional presentation to the market, and arranging all staff functions and meetings where necessary.
Taylaw is one of the St Johns Accredited First Aid Officer for the Newcastle Office and Chief Fire Warden for the building. Taylaw has completed a Certificate IV in Property Services allowing her to hold a current NSW Real Estate License and is an Accredited Auctioneer.
Director | Finance
Angela has been in the real estate industry for over 25 years commencing as a Receptionist and progressed through the years to Property Management managing a portfolio of both commercial and industrial properties. Having obtained qualification for a Real Estate Licence she also spent some time handling sales and leasing of commercial real estate in the Newcastle region.
Angela started in 2000 with Colliers International within the Newcastle office as a Property Manager looking after a portfolio of commercial and industrial properties. In 2001 an opportunity was available to become a Personal Assistant to the then Managing Director, Peter Dodds which she gladly accepted. This position progressed through the years into the role of Office Manager for over 13 years in the Newcastle office.
Angela has been responsible for the marketing and branding of the Newcastle office including overseeing all promotional materials from newspaper advertising, signboard, online presentations, printed material and other forms of external communication.
Angela has also been responsible in implementing internal systems to ensure the smooth operation of the Newcastle office including IT platforms and internal administration systems.
In July 2015, Angela decided to take on the opportunity and challenge and became the Manager & Trust Accountant for the Newcastle Real Estate Management Team. Angela took on the responsibility of ensuring the REM team and their client's portfolio of Commercial & Industrial properties were maintained and looked after with the highest attention to detail and being proactive in our Real Estate Management department.
Due to internal restructuring, in early 2018, Angela was transferred to the position of Associate Director in Finance then in 2019 promoted to Director in Finance for the Newcastle office. She is now responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance and continuous improvement of core Financial Operations for the Newcastle office, working closely with the Managing Director as well as the Finance leadership team in delivering client focused solutions.
Angela's responsibilities now include all forms of Trust Accounting, including Sales and Leasing Trust, Advertising Trust, IBD Trust and Residential Trust from receivables, payables, reconciliation, invoicing through to settlement. She is also responsible for the review and preparation of all compliance documents to ensure adherence to various legislation, compliance plans and internal policies.
