Residential development site in Perth’s south east corridor goes to market

Colliers International appointed to sell Hilbert land with approved subdivision

A land parcel with approval for a residential subdivision in Perth’s south east corridor, one of the most hotly contested areas in the first-home buyer market, has been listed for sale with Colliers International.

The 5ha site is in the new suburb of Hilbert, just 3.2km from Armadale’s town centre, and has approval for approximately 92 residential blocks. 

Selling agent Erwin Edlinger said the property at 315 Forrest Road would suit residential land developers looking to add a ready-to-go subdivision to their portfolio.

“Hilbert is a well-planned suburb offering blocks priced to meet the budgets of new entrants into the residential market and with major developers already active in the area, we are expecting a strong level of interest in the site,” Mr Edlinger said.

“The south east corridor is one of Perth’s fastest growing residential areas and with recent sales ranging from $129,000 to $185,000, Hilbert is offering competitively priced blocks.”

The land is opposite Stockland’s Sienna Wood Estate and has a 722m boundary to Forrest Road, which runs between Armadale’s town centre and Tonkin Highway.

The site is also in the Wungong Urban Water Redevelopment Scheme area, which is being overseen by the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority, and will populate a largely dormant metropolitan corridor and provide a new community for up to 45,000 people.

Mr Edlinger said future residents at Hilbert would be close to employment centres including Forrestdale Business Park and the City of Armadale, one of the WA Planning Commission’s strategic metropolitan centres.

The land will be sold by expressions of interest which close on July 24.
