Construction milestone reached at 9 Tully apartments

East Perth apartment project on Tully Road due to be finished in Q3 of 2019

Apartment project 9 Tully reached a construction milestone today with the topping out of the nine-level, $40 million East Perth development.

The complex is the latest Perth apartment project to be delivered by LKD Development Group and is on track to be completed in the third quarter.

“We expect titles will be issued to buyers in October, with the first residents moving in shortly after then,” LKD Director Fabian Deng said.

“After a successful sales campaign, a once vacant site in East Perth is now occupied by a modern apartment development offering one, two and three-bedroom apartments and convenient city-fringe living.”

From the building’s upper floors there are city and Swan River views and apartments on the east side of the building also have views to Burswood Peninsula and Optus Stadium

The 79-apartment project is being built by construction company JAXON, its first project with LKD.

“We are pleased with the progress made at 9 Tully and the quality of the relationship we have developed with LKD. Collaboration from all parties will continue to benefit the development as it moves toward completion,” JAXON said.

The apartments at 9 Tully were sold by Colliers International’s Willie Lim who said the project had been well-received by buyers despite the slowdown in Perth’s apartment market.

“Off-the-plan sales launched at the end of 2016 and the project met good demand from buyers who wanted modern apartment living in the village lifestyle on offer in East Perth,” Mr Lim said.

“There are 23 apartments still for sale but with the building now up and plans to move the display apartment from a neighbouring building into an apartment on the second floor, we expect the remaining apartments will sell this year.”

Named after its address on Tully Road, the apartment project is on the north-western corner of Claisebrook Village and is just 3km from Perth’s CBD.

Mr Lim said 9 Tully’s future residents would also be close to Burswood Peninsula, which had been elevated to a major recreational and entertainment precinct following the opening of Optus Stadium.

“Residents will be one train stop from Perth Stadium Station or they will be able to walk across Windan Bridge or the new Matagarup Bridge to get to the Burswood Peninsula,” he said.

Prices start at $365,000 for one-bedroom apartments, $450,000 for two-bedrooms and 9 Tully’s two remaining three-bedroom apartments are priced from $779,000.
