Colliers International’s Perth office wins CitySwitch award

Perth office now a finalist in the national CitySwitch awards in Sydney on November 27

At a ceremony held at the City of Perth’s Council House, Colliers International was announced as the winner of the WA CitySwitch award for the best office under 2000sqm.

The award recognised Colliers International’s leading role in Perth’s office market where it has achieved a 5-star NABERS Energy and 4-star NABERS Indoor Environment Tenancy Ratings for its two-level office at 197 St Georges Terrace.

Imran Mohiuddin, State Chief Executive at Colliers International Perth, said the decision a decade ago to be a part of the CitySwitch program, which enhances the health and environmental outcomes of office workplaces, was motivated by the understanding that workplace practices do have a broader influence that flows on to other parts of business and our communities.

“The economics of sustainability and the knowledge we now have about productive and healthy workplaces, will be the template for Australia’s future offices and we are delighted to be a part of this movement,” Mr Mohiuddin said.

The annual event marked CitySwitch’s 10th year in the Perth office market and Colliers International was one of 11 foundation members presented with awards for their long-term commitment to continually improve best practice in the industry.

CitySwitch also announced the start of a national program to recognise exemplary colleagues in the promotion of healthy buildings and Colliers International Sustainability Manager Patrick Jeannerat was named as one of the two WA inductees to the City Switch Hall of Fame.

Mr Jeannerat said Colliers International’s Indoor Environment Rating reflected how well staff in the Perth office perceive their workplace.

“With the help of a third party occupant satisfaction survey, we have determined that our agile office compared favourably with other leading offices in Australia and we also now have clues on specific areas that we can further improve,” Mr Jeannerat said.

Colliers International’s Perth office is currently one of just two tenants in Australia to publically disclose its NABERS Indoor Environment Rating.

The Perth office is now a finalist in the national CitySwitch awards which will be held in Sydney on November 27.
