Colliers International appoints new National Director of Asian Markets

Former managing Director of CBRE Taiwan joins Colliers in Sydney.

Joe Lin has joined Colliers International as the National Director for Asian markets office, leaving CBRE Taiwan, where he was the Managing Director.  

His new role, based in the Sydney CBD will see him head up the national Asia Markets initiative, working alongside Colliers Head of Investment Services, Matthew Meynell. 

Joe will have a key focus on working with institution inbound Asian capital and their partners, having previously facilitated multiple high-profile transactions. 

He was responsible for more than $1 billion worth of deals across Asia and the UK, including; HK based Phoenix property investors’ acquisition of Zurich Insurance Taipei headquarter for USD100M; TSMC’s acquisition of Qualcomm’s fab for USD85M and Cathay Life’s acquisition of Woolgate Exchange (USD490M) and Walbrook building (USD900M) in London.

During his time as MD at CBRE Taiwan, Joe was awarded numerous accolades including Best Property Consultancy Taiwan in the APAC Property Awards for 5 consecutive years (2013 – 2018). He also received the CBRE Asia Circle of Excellence in Leadership award in 2014 and Professional of the Year award in 2011.

growing the revenues tenfold in 6 years and expanding the service offerings and presence within the real estate market in Taiwan,” said Matthew Meynell.
