Industrial property specialists at Colliers and the racking, automation and technology solutions experts at Pollen have announced an industry-first collaboration to provide a full end-to-end industrial advisory service.
The new partnership will see leading real estate professionals at Colliers working collaboratively with Pollen to provide expert advice to maximise the value of supply chains, technology, automation and the resultant property for real estate occupiers and owners.
Doug Henry, Colliers’ Head of Occupier Services, said the relationship would allow Colliers and Pollen to provide full end-to-end industrial advisory solutions.
“Warehouse occupiers are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their supply chain and warehouse planning and delivery,” Mr Henry said.
“As such, warehouses are becoming larger and therefore greater focus is being applied to the planning and implementation of various racking, automation and technology solutions. Pollen is a market leader in this sector and Colliers is a market leader in industrial property."
“We have adopted a ‘better together’ model to enable best in class solutions to be provided to our clients both from a property and advisory basis. Both companies have complementary skillsets and in working together, we are able to provide an upfront design whether it be for a single warehouse or a complete supply chain network.”
Pollen will work closely with Colliers to understand each client’s specific need and design an appropriate solution. This could be as simple as a change in material handling equipment or racking layout, or a total network design.
Colliers’ role will be to provide property information and negotiation skills should a new facility or renegotiating of an existing facility be required and deliver the project via the company’s Project Leaders business.
“At Colliers, we underpin our service offerings by our ability to lead the industry into the future. We are proud to share with you our new partnership with Pollen,” Mr Henry said. “Two industry experts from separate companies with very different property-related expertise coming together to create a strategic alliance. This truly unique collaboration of specialists is turning industrial complexity into opportunity."
“COVID has accelerated warehouse demand which is expected to peak later in 2021-2022. Supply chains have been tested and our clients are questioning what the post-COVID supply chain is going to be."
“There have been recent advancements in technology and automation which has enabled warehouses to be more consumption-driven and geared to fulfilment. Understanding and planning for a changing world is the challenge that has presented itself.”
Mr Henry said Colliers’ Industrial Advisory team were recognised as market leaders in the industry, consistently delivering better financial outcomes for clients whether in the management of leased portfolios, transaction management or any related activity which affects property costs.
“At Colliers, we underpin our service offerings by our ability to lead the industry into the future,” he said. “We are proud to partner with Pollen and create an offering for our clients that will see two industry experts from separate companies with very different property-related expertise coming together to create a strategic alliance. This truly unique collaboration of specialists is turning industrial complexity into opportunity.”
