Q: How long have you been in the real estate industry and how did you come to join Colliers?
I have worked in the property industry for 10 years. I started my career as a commercial and industrial valuer and moved into a transactional role when I joined Colliers four years ago.
Q: How do you think you use your expertise to add value to clients?
I have a wide knowledge of the owners and tenants across the Melbourne market, which I combine with my technical expertise to provide thorough financial analysis as part of my role.
Q: What is the most fulfilling thing about your role?
I really enjoy working with my local team and the national Colliers Capital Markets service line. It is a very collaborative team with a supportive culture.
Q: Can you think of a transaction or project that you’re particularly proud of? What did you do to ensure its success?
Treasury Square – which involved a development site on the southern side of Flinders Street, with the potential to create 130,000sqm of net lettable area for a commercial value of approximately $2 billion. This was a highly complex transaction with multiple stakeholders including the government. I made the client my number one priority during the process.
Q: What do you think the opportunity is for your clients' real estate strategies in the current environment?
Invest in upgrades and ESG initiatives so office buildings are well-positioned to respond to future occupier demand.
