Q: How long have you been in the real estate industry and how did you come to join Colliers?I have worked in property for over 20 years. I joined Colliers close to 12 months ago, after re-connecting with a former colleague who excited me about the clients, strategy and growth of the Colliers Project Leaders team.
Q: How do you think you use your expertise to add value to clients? As I have worked on a number of large-scale developments from inception to completion, I can bring a global perspective to developing strategy and analysing risk. I leverage my delivery experience to set projects up for success and minimise financial risk.
Q: What is the most fulfilling thing about your role? When years of challenging strategy, planning and construction materialise into an asset which positively impacts the day-to-day lives of the end users.
Q: Can you think of a transaction or project that you’re particularly proud of? What did you do to ensure its success?
I’m proud of all the projects I have delivered because each has been unique and customised to the specific needs and wants of the target audience. A detailed understanding of the key customers is fundamental to the success of any project.
Q: What is the opportunity for your clients in the current environment?
Repositioning centres to create digitally connected, experiential and engaging places that offer more than just shopping. This is important not only to maximise financial returns, but to ensure the asset is ‘future fit,’ able to respond to emerging trends and appeal to the more progressive consumers of tomorrow.
