Q: How long have you been in the real estate industry and how did you come to join Colliers?
I have worked in the industry for 10 years, previously with a small funds management business then joining colliers in my first agency role back in 2013. My connection to the business was through a referral from a local competitor which I had done work experience with whilst I was at university. I almost took a job at another agency and his suggestion was to hold out for an offer from a bigger more organised property services business. The rest is history.
Q: How do you think you use your expertise to add value to clients?
In the industrial product line – we pride ourselves on being data-driven in our solutions to clients. Our data platform that covers our entire submarkets is meticulous and affords us the ability to pick trends early and with our market leading database and client engagement strategies – we communicate regularly with key stakeholders these trends.
Q: What is the most fulfilling thing about your role?
We meet some very interesting people and get to understand specific industry-types working in the industrial sector. From warehousing and third-party logistics providers to high-tech manufacturing, engineering and food production, the businesses we regularly deal with are extremely diverse. Helping these businesses achieve their own very specific set of goals is extremely rewarding.
