Q: How long have you been in the real estate industry and how did you come to join Colliers?
I have been in the industry for over 20 years. I joined Colliers because of the exciting opportunity to lead the creation and building of NEC’s (Channel 9) new headquarters in 1 Denison North Sydney.
Q: How do you think you use your expertise to add value to clients?
By being an expert in the property development process, I provide sound technical advice to my clients which assists them in their financial analysis for their respective project(s).
Q: What is the most fulfilling thing about your role?
Being a trusted and reliable partner that delivers on the promise to expertly manage a project’s budget, deliverables and risk through each stage.
Q: Can you think of a transaction or project that you’re particularly proud of? What did you do to ensure its success?
The creation of NEC’s new HQ was particularly complex from both a technical and program perspective and it certainly set the bar for challenges. Its success was due to the close collaboration with the client, navigating the challenges presented in a united manner and ultimately being a trusted advisor to my client - which paved the way for a successful outcome.
Q: What do you think the opportunity is for your clients' real estate strategies in the current environment?
Clients should be considering their property strategy in relation to future proofing their assets. Some will need to reposition their assets to better respond to current and future occupier demands around health & wellbeing, experience and amenity.
