Canberra Residential bring to market the largest mixed-use site in Queanbeyan’s history.

The Canberra Residential team are excited to present an opportunity to develop the largest mixed-use site in Queanbeyan's history.

The two prime sites offering nearly a combined 5,000 square metres in the heart of the Queanbeyan CBD are currently being offered for sale.

“These sites are zoned for commercial-residential use, with the potential to develop 190 apartments over the two sites,” Colliers Director Residential Land, Josh Reid revealed.


“If the properties were developed to the full extent allowed, this will be the largest mixed-use development seen in Queanbeyan’s history.”


The main site, which is an amalgamation of 10-12 Rutledge Street and 257 Crawford Street, has an area of 4,188 square metres. The property at 6 Rutledge Street is 848.6 square metres.


The development sites sit next door to the new $74 million office precinct designed by Cox Architects which is currently under construction. The new precinct will include green space, a new library, basement parking and new multi-storey office buildings set to revitalise the Queanbeyan CBD.


“This really is the place to be in Queanbeyan and with the sites offering such exciting potential, we expect strong interest,” Mr Reid said.


Colliers is managing the sale of these properties on behalf of Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council. The sites are being offered for sale by Expressions of Interest – closing at 4pm, Thursday 21 October (AEDT).
