Stacey Quaid

Managing Director

As Managing Director of Colliers in Cairns, I am a property industry specialist who has actively been involved with the industry since 1987. Having worked in such a relatively small market I have developed broad experience in all facets of the industry, including sales and leasing in commercial, industrial, property management, residential, rural and project sales.

Being born in North Queensland and with a family history in property in the region, I have developed a strong knowledge of properties and people throughout the area from Townsville north, including  Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands. Things don’t always work the same in cities as they do in the more “country areas” and it is this local knowledge that brings value to transactions.

Much of my career has involved working out strategies on challenging property situations, including Receiverships, Mortgagee and local Government Sales. As a Licensed Auctioneer of both property and plant & equipment, I have been fortunate enough to conduct Auctions and consultancies in varied locations and situations including the Northern Territory, South Australia, PNG and Indonesia, as well as the South Island of New Zealand.

“Success breeds success, and I enjoy helping other people to achieve their business and investment goals through my specialist knowledge of commercial property.” – Dan

As the Managing Director of Colliers International Toowoomba, Dan considers himself to be the opposite of a stereotypical real estate agent. Formerly a police officer, it is ingrained in his personality to be straightforward and transparent. His clients appreciate that he calls a spade a spade and they know that the information they receive from Dan is genuine.

While policing and real estate seem worlds apart, there is a common thread of service to others that Dan finds rewarding.

In his specialist field of commercial property, he thoroughly enjoys helping others succeed. Whether that is by assisting others who are ready to take the next step with their business, by securing premises, building an investment portfolio or completing the sale of an asset. Sharing people’s success has a positive effect on his day-to-day life, through the satisfaction of achieving the buying or leasing outcomes my clients are seeking and the thrill of sealing a deal.

The team network at Colliers International brings a great depth to our capacity as a real estate agency. No matter what specialty or service people require, there are professionals within our network who can provide the expertise and advice our clients are looking for.

Through innovative solutions and unrivalled level of success, it is Dan’s aim to continue to lead Colliers to the next level in the Toowoomba community, by building on the position as market leaders, who continually provide exceptional service to our clients.

Policing and real estate also share an element of dedication and service to the community. In Dan’s position as Managing Director, he enjoys promoting the many positive aspects of living in Toowoomba.

Dan is born and bred in Toowoomba and loves that this is a city that appreciates their rich culture and heritage, but also enjoys every modern convenience, while retaining the atmosphere and charm of a country town. Dan says, “Toowoomba is a great place to raise a family and build a successful career and business.” He wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
