I am a National Director and Head of Tenant Advisory (NSW) based in Sydney. I am highly focused with a committed work ethic and pride myself on securing great results for my clients. I have 15+ years global experience in corporate real estate and property and asset management providing me with invaluable insight, knowledge and understanding of both the landlord and tenant's perspective. Specialising in the commercial, retail, and industrial property sector, Martin possess a deep understanding of development leasing and risk management. With expertise in asset and property management, Martin excels in optimising leasing outcomes by leveraging his extensive network and strong relationships within the real estate community.
Martin is proactive and results-driven, offering a broad skill set that includes lease negotiation, budgeting, sustainability, operations management, and project analysis. Baird commenced his commercial property career in London in 2001 where he enjoyed a comprehensive grounding in various property disciplines including Valuations, Agency and Occupier Services.
In 2004 Baird became a Chartered Surveyor and emigrated to Australia. Prior to joining Colliers Baird was the Leasing Director at GPT, and the National Leasing Manager at Walker Corporation.
Over the past 10 years Baird has emerged as a specialist in the development leasing process from his extensive involvement in pre-commitment transactions in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Canberra.

I have 15 years of corporate real estate experience, not having come to the world of property through the usual channels. My unconventional journey has allowed me to experience and be right in the middle of many of the major world events of the last 30 years. A career that gives me exceptional insights into human character as well as the intricacies of commercial dealings.
My numerous roles have included Nine-Cameraman, Editor, Producer, News Chief of Staff, Broadcast Operations Manager, Production and Operations Manager and Group Head of Property.
I have a unique understanding of all aspects of Media, not only an expert in business operations but a true in-depth knowledge of Property, Facilities, Finance, Production, Sales and the bottom line.
