High profile new tenants join Adelaide’s premier shopping destination in 2015

One of Adelaide’s premier shopping destinations, Burnside Village, is fully leased after being in hot demand from retailers vying for space during 2015.

Ben Laycock, Colliers International Director of Retail Leasing, said 2015 had seen the arrival of a range of high profile new tenants to Burnside Village, including Scanlan & Theodore.

“Burnside Village has always had more than its share of ‘retail fashion firsts’ such as ZARA, and can now also lay claim to being the home of the flagship store in South Australia for high end Australian designer CAMILLA which opens in November,” Mr Laycock said.

Colliers International has secured 18 retailers in the last 18 months at Burnside Village. Stores such as Endota Spa, House & Garden, Review, Village Fresh Fruiterers, Jetts Fitness,T2 and Joanne Mercer have all opened new stores at Burnside Village in 2015, along with relocations and new fitouts within the centre for Athletes Foot, Blue Illusion and Vintage Cellars.

“Burnside Village is home to Adelaide’s only ZARA store and features an array of boutique Australian fashion labels such as Sass & Bide, Willow and Carla Zampatti, along with well known labels such as SEED, FCUK, Mimco, Peter Alexander, Sportscraft and international brands Lululemon, Calvin Klein Jeans, Karen Millen, Kiehls, AESOP and Oroton,” Mr Laycock said.

“The Village Market, anchored by Coles, offers everything from specialty stores to unique cafes, including Vintage Cellars, sushi and everything in between including great produce from Pasta Deli, who recently won best community eatery in the SA Advertiser Food Awards 2015."

The centre is located in the picturesque and affluent eastern suburbs of Adelaide and is home to more than 100 premium lifestyle, fashion and food stores. It features two glass-topped atrium malls, with an abundance of natural light creating an indoor-outdoor ‘village’ feel.

Burnside Village was recently shortlisted in the 2015 ICSC Asia Pacific Shopping Center Awards.
