Former Cabramatta Fire Station to be sold via auction

Strong growth location set to pique investor interest.

Colliers International has been appointed to take to auction the former Cabramatta Fire Station on behalf of Fire & Rescue NSW.

Colliers International’s Harry Bui will handle the sale of the property at 259 Cabramatta Road West, Cabramatta.

“The property is now surplus to the needs of FRNSW given their relocation to a new site on the Cumberland Highway in Cabramatta,” Mr Bui said.

“The 613 sqm site is zoned B4 Mixed Use under the new Fairfield LEP 2013, which offers astute investors an opportunity to acquire for a future mixed-use retail/commercial and residential development in a blossoming suburban location.”

Cabramatta is identified in the NSW State Government Metropolitan Strategy as a potential major growth centre for the future. The area was recognized based on its potential as a vibrant shopping and service hub.

“This property is perfectly located to take advantage of Cabramatta’s future predictive growth,” Mr Bui said.

“The area has a thriving retail shopping environment and businesses are reaping the rewards of the foot traffic in the town centre, servicing the local residents and business population of the Fairfield local government area, with 15,000 visitors and tourists on the weekend.

“We anticipate the property will attract strong interest from a wide range of buyers.”

The property will be offered for sale by auction on-site on Saturday May 2, 2015 at 11.30am.
