Williams Group, a supplier of building materials and a parent company of Southport Timbers, has signed a three year lease with a three year option for a large 7,000sqm Molendinar facility.
The property which is located at 21 Reichart Drive features 7,000sqm of flat level fenced hardstand, 2,323sqm industrial building, two container height roller doors and offers easy truck manoeuvering and full turning ability.
Pat Cavanagh, Director of Industrial at Colliers International who negotiated the deal on behalf of a private local owner for $295,000 per annum, said it is one of the major leases for the Molendinar area in a long while.
“We showed Williams Group a number of sites around Molendinar and Southport but this one came up as their number one choice. This property was ideal for their requirements as it was previously occupied by a similar industry user.
“It also features a substantial surplus hardstand and easy access which they will utilise for their truck turning area and racking of the exterior building products.
“Before they relocated into the new premises, Williams Group occupied 27-29 Industrial Avenue in Molendinar which they sold in 2013 for $6.05 million with a lease back arrangement that expired in Sept 2015.” The sale of the former Southport Timbers site was also handled by Pat Cavanagh.
