Revitalisation plans and the best of Cannington’s amenity surrounds Pattie Street site.
A 1,002sqm development site at 18 Pattie Street in Cannington, with the potential to develop a high-density building, has come to market through Colliers International.
Located just 100m from Westfield Carousel, one of Perth’s biggest shopping centres, the vacant site will be sold by Colliers agent Tory Packer who said the area’s high level of amenity would be a major draw card for developers.
“This property is in the centre of the Canning City Centre Structure Plan, sitting just one kilometre from Cannington train station and a short walk to the bus network on Albany Highway,” Ms Packer said.
“The revitalisation plans will make Cecil Avenue, which lies perpendicular to Pattie Street, Cannington’s new main street so this site will be well-placed to benefit from the substantial improvements to the nearby precinct.”
Westfield Carousel attracts 11 million visitors each year and will be a key anchor for Canning City Centre which will include medium-rise apartment towers, public open space and mixed-use buildings along Cecil Avenue.
As well as doorstep shopping and entertainment, Ms Packer said other amenity near Pattie Street included Cannington Leisureplex, which has a library, an aquatic centre and a gym.
“This is a perfectly positioned mixed-use development opportunity and we are expecting strong interest from developers who are looking for land banking opportunities and sites that can be developed in the short-term,” she said.
The site has a 20.12m frontage and an existing development approval for eight multi-dwellings, with three-bedrooms and two-bathrooms, set in a four-storey complex.
“A rear right of way also increases the site’s development options,” Ms Packer said.
Expressions of interest close on November 16, 2016.
