Major 6,000sqm vacancy in tightly held Hawthorn expected to generate strong contest

The highly anticipated merger of Perth-based Programmed Maintenance and Melbourne-headquartered Skilled Group has paved the way for a significant leasing appointment in Melbourne’s East.

Following the merger agreement being struck late last year, Colliers International provided advice to Programmed Maintenance for an upcoming vacancy at 2 Luton Lane of almost 6,000sqm, where Skilled Group has a lease in place until 2022.

Colliers International’s Rob Joyes, Kevin Tutty and Damien Adkins were subsequently appointed as the sole leasing agents on the upcoming 5,660sqm vacancy over three levels.

Mr Tutty said the property offered an impressive fitout and a high ratio of car parking, both of which were sought after features among prospective tenants.

“We have seen strong interest already, with several inspections taking place prior to the commencement of advertising,” he said.

“The property would suit large users looking to increase their quality of accommodation, relocate to a hub of social activity or benefit from a funky, collaborative fitout.”
