QinetiQ Australia has signed a seven year lease for 553sqm of office space in the Makerston House, located at 30 Makerston Street within Brisbane’s North Quarter precinct. They will be relocating from their current premises at 80 Petrie Terrace in Brisbane.
QinetiQ is an international business who provides advice and services across the aerospace, land and maritime domains of the Defence market and to Government, training and industry sectors. Their other Australian offices are located in Melbourne, Canberra and Adelaide.
Roland Dean, Senior Executive of Office Leasing at Colliers International who is exclusively marketing the building, negotiated the lease at $525 per square metre gross on behalf of the building’s owner Challenger.
“QinetiQ are expanding and were exploring different locations within the Brisbane CBD. They were particularly attracted to this precinct because of its proximity to Brisbane Transit Centre and other amenity in the area such as The Barracks,” Mr Dean said.
“QinetiQ were achieving efficiency as the partially vacant level 5 they are moving into allowed the company to customise a brand new fitout that suited their workflow. Makerston House is a high-grade office building which also has undergone extensive refurbishment works and has a high volume of basement car parking,” said Mr Dean.
Makerston House is a 13 level office building with current availability suiting requirements from 150sqm to 2,546sqm, offering flexibility to prospective tenants with fully fitted-out suites and vacant floors.
