A new ‘commercial capital’ is emerging in what is the most popular shopping destination in Melbourne.
Vicinity Centres and Gandel Group have appointed Colliers International’s Rob Joyes, Travis Myerscough and Kevin Tutty to lease Tower One at 1341 Dandenong Road, Chadstone. This new office development is situated directly alongside Australia’s largest shopping centre, Chadstone Shopping Centre.
“A targeted campaign has seen strong demand from all sectors, in particular retail tenants within Chadstone Shopping Centre who jumped at the chance to position their head offices close to some of their best performing stores,” Mr Joyes said.
“We have been able to achieve 100% occupancy at Tower One within 12 months on the back of this targeted leasing strategy."
The most recent retail tenants to join Tower One include the Shaver Shop and The Body Shop. They join other retailers who have located their headquarters at Chadstone including JB Hi Fi, Retail Zoo and Funtastic.
“This follows the recent announcement that David Jones will relocate its national headquarters from Sydney to Melbourne in an early indication of increased movement across state lines by major companies,” Mr Joyes said. “This is a major indication of the strength of the Melbourne market in the eyes of retailers looking for locations for their head offices.”
