Building on Sam’s experience and relationships, Colliers International has established an Asia Markets team in the Brisbane office with the appointment of Tony Wang. Tony will work alongside the Sydney and Melbourne Asia Markets teams to further strengthen the firm’s connectivity with the Asian market.
“It’s a great time to be joining our Queensland business after 5 years in Asia. Our team has grown significantly in the last 12 months with a number of new hires, and has transacted over $197m worth of assets in FY16 with further growth expected in FY17. From a regional perspective the positive changes in the perception of Brisbane and the greater Queensland market in the mindset of Asian investors is significant, following the recent entrances of AEP, ARA and the Destination Brisbane consortium. This provides a strong foundation for further inbound investment from Asia and on the back of this we are fielding questions from numerous Asian groups looking to make a maiden investment in Queensland.”
