TradeTools has purchased a 957sqm industrial facility in Arundel for $1.95 million with plans to open up a trade counter outlet to cater for trade customers in the area.
The freestanding industrial building sits on a 2,116sqm site at 27 Gibbs Street, and includes a 725sqm high clearance concrete warehouse and a 232sqm air-conditioned office space over two levels.
“TradeTools have been looking to increase their presence in the north Gold Coast region to further service their existing customer base in the area,” said Pat Cavanagh, Director of Industrial at Colliers International who negotiated the sale.
“Currently they have four key location on the Gold Coast at Burleigh, Nerang and in Ormeau.
“There are limited vacant freehold opportunities for sale in the area which attracted over 20 local owner occupiers and three offers, with TradeTools being the end buyer,” said Mr Cavanagh.
“We have been looking to buy a freehold building in the Labrador area for quite some time,” said Greg Ford, Director of TradeTools.
“After 20 years of operating the Bundall store, we moved out to Nerang, which left our trade customers north of Bundall without a close enough TradeTools store to visit. Our large new trade counter store in Gibbs Street should easily satisfy that demand.
“We plan to open early in the new year and will have full service and repair facilities onsite, alongside our extensive range of trade quality tools, machinery and specialised products like our renowned Queensland built Renegade Air Compressors,” Mr Ford said.
