Colliers International announces multiple appointments in Retail sector

Multiple new appointments and internal promotions have bolstered Colliers International market dominance in a growing Brisbane retail market.

Colliers International has announced two new appointments and an internal promotion of Luke McGrath, Garry McDowall and Sam Degn respectively.

Luke McGrath has been appointed as the Associate Director of Retail Leasing in Brisbane and Garry McDowall as the Associate Director of Large Format Retail.

“Luke is a 20 year retail veteran having run and worked in both retail agency at Knight Frank and Westfield, together with institutional clients during his career. Luke has many career highlights including setting up one of Queensland's best known retail consultancy firms and running it for many years.” Said Michael Bate, Colliers International Head of Retail.

“Luke's appointment is another testament to Colliers International's commitment to making our Queensland retail business stronger and more accessible”.

Since expanding into the Queensland Large Format Retail market in 2016 with the appointment of Bryan Wiggill, Garry will continue to lead this team and service the needs of an increasing client base.

“We have seen great growth in many appointments for this segment of the market. This dominance means we are increasing our size and capability and we welcome the appointment of Garry McDowall.” Said Mr Bate.

“Garry has over 15 years’ experience in the Queensland market with other agencies and brings our team of experts a wealth of professionalism and knowledge”.

Following an internal reshuffle, Colliers International has also promoted within and has appointed Sam Degn to the position of Manager for Retail Leasing.

“Over the past four years Sam has negotiated significant leasing deals in the Brisbane CBD and is a key retail expert in the Queensland Retail Leasing team” said Mr Bate.

“Sam has developed strong relationships with many premium and luxury retailers and clients during her time with Colliers. Her promotion is recognition of her commitment and dedication to her work”.
