Colliers International to lease jewel in Bourke Street retail crown

One of the most iconic buildings at the heart of the Melbourne CBD is open for business to retailers looking for a new home.

Colliers International’s Cam Taranto, Jarrod Herscu and Brigitte Doupe have been appointed to lease the former home of renowned jeweller, Kozminsky, at 421 Bourke Street.

“This elegant flagship building is one of the jewels in Melbourne’s heritage building landscape and was home to Kozminsky for more than 40 years,” Mr Taranto said.

“The building sits in close proximity to Bourke Street Mall, Hardware Lane and several new developments including 405 Bourke Street, which contains more than 60,000sqm of commercial space, and 150 Queen Street (Tower Melbourne) which includes 69 floors of residential apartments."

421 Bourke Street offers 380sqm of flagship retail space over four levels, on the corner of Bourke Street and McKillop Streets.

“There is also potential to activate the rooftop or split the tenancy, and the opportunity for prominent signage along Bourke and McKillop Streets is significant,” Mr Herscu said.
