The first residential tower within Park Central, a $1B master planned transit oriented development in Woolloongabba, will be released in June 2017.
Park Central One will feature 168 one and two bedroom luxury residences over 18 levels with ground floor retail and private rooftop garden terrace which includes swimming pool, deck and gym that take in views of Brisbane CBD and surrounds.
Developed by Singapore based Wee Hur Holdings Ltd, the residential tower is architecturally designed by Woods Bagot, and Tomkins have recently been appointed as the builders, with construction expected to commence later this year.
“Park Central One was designed for a local owner or a tenant wanting a convenient and active lifestyle, only 7 minutes from Brisbane CBD,” said Rachel Hutson, Residential Project Manager at Colliers International who is marketing the development.
“Being part of a transit oriented development, Park Central One will be a hub of activity offering residents direct connection to Buranda busway and rail stations as well as dedicated bikeways link to South east Freeway and the Norman Creek Bikeway and Greenway.”
Park Central will also benefit from direct access to the $944 million high frequency Brisbane Metro Service for which Council handed down its business case recently. The metro, which will pass through the Buranda busway station, will significantly reduce travel time and improve services into the CBD.
The beautifully designed open plan living apartments within Park Central One feature a contemporary colour palette, designer kitchen with feature splashback, reconstituted stone island bench and quality Bosch stainless steel appliances.
“One bedroom apartments average 60sqm in size and are selling from $350,000 to $425,000,” said Ms Hutson. “The average size of a two bedroom apartment is 90sqm with prices ranging from $485,000 to $690,000.
“Full-height glazing and spacious balcony maximise both space and views with Brisbane CBD views seen from one side of the building and extensive green views of Hanlon Park and Thompson Estate Reserve on the other side.”
Woolloongabba is ideally positioned in the centre of the major employment nodes in Brisbane CBD, South Brisbane and East Brisbane. The total precinct is expected to grow by over 100,000 jobs to 2031. Woolloongabba itself is expected to generate over 20,000 new jobs.
The future stages at Park Central will include additional residential apartments, student accommodation, all positioned around 4,300sqm ‘sky park’ and 16,000sqm retail precinct anchored by a supermarket, specialty stores and dining.
The master plan envisions ‘sky park’ to be a private recreation space which will include a club lounge, outdoor dining and entertaining areas, 350sqm lap and lagoon pool with infinity edge and waterfall, a jogging track, outdoor gym equipment, table tennis, bocce, yoga lawn, grassed kick-a-bout area, outdoor cinema and fenced off-leash dog park.
The Park Central One display suite onsite includes a full apartment display which is open by appointment on 1800 316 915.
