“Tenacious” market-leading recruit bolsters Colliers International’s

Melbourne CBD Office Leasing team welcomes new associate director

Colliers International’s Office Leasing product line has appointed a new associate director to its Melbourne CBD team.

Zak Seccull joins Colliers International from JLL, where he spent almost six years as a commercial leasing executive after completing the firm’s graduate program.

In that time, he has concluded more than 200 leasing transactions across a range of asset classes for a mix of well-known and unrepresented tenants.

In 2016 alone, Mr Seccull was involved in a total of 73 leasing transactions in the Melbourne CBD and Docklands, including Rialto (525 Collins Street), 485 La Trobe Street, 459 Collins Street, 277 William Street and 276 Flinders Street, for a total of 191,600sqm.

“Colliers International has a practice of recruiting quality people to better service our broad base of institutional and private clients,” national director for Office Leasing, Andrew Beasley, said.

“Zak caught our eye when we worked in conjunction on the Rialto leasing campaign, which was one of our biggest appointments in the CBD.

“He is a tenacious deal-doer with a can-do attitude – 60 per cent of his deals have been based on his own brokerage, rather than relying on appointments.”

Mr Beasley said Mr Seccull was a “polished performer” and had been an impressive presence in client and conjunctional-agency meetings.

“We are looking forward to watching Zak channel his hunger to succeed into our business and have faith that he will accelerate his real estate career with us,” he said.
