Colliers International’s James Crawford has sold the Bank West Business Centre on the Gold Coast for the second time in as many years.
The $10.5m off-market deal reportedly settled this week and follows an $8.3m sale he completed for the same building in 2015.
The 6 level waterfront building comprises of 1,525sqm of net lettable floor area and is located at 68 Marine Parade, Southport on an elevated corner site of 819sqm overlooking the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre.
Mr Crawford said, “the glass front trophy asset is one of only 6 freestanding commercial office buildings on Marine Parade offering uninterrupted water views from every level and interestingly its previous owners include Dreamworld founder and Logan Hyperdome developer Tony Longhurst.”
When asked about how the sale occurred, Mr Crawford said, “we were simply approached by a long standing private client who wanted a key office building within the Southport / Surfers Paradise market which had the potential to partially occupy. We identified the Bank West Business Centre as something special to own, the buyer inspected and shortly thereafter a deal was struck.”
