A 1,930sqm commercial building in the centre of Cannington, with leases to businesses in the medical and education sector, will be offered for sale through Colliers International.
The building at 15 Leila Street has a six-year lease to multi-national German company Fresenius Medical Care, which specialises in renal dialysis supplies and a recently signed five-year lease to training provider Lead College, which expanded into WA earlier this year.
The property will be sold by Colliers International Associate Director Investment Services Tory Packer who said the tenant profile and the 5,000sqm land area would generate strong interest.
“There is a limited supply of leased investment buildings in suburban Perth and with a site that is less than 100m from all the amenity on offer at Westfield Carousel, we are expecting offers from private buyers and syndicates,” Ms Packer said.
The Leila Street property is also next to the new city centre that the City of Canning plans to build along Cecil Avenue.
The plan will see more commercial and residential development along Cecil Avenue and landscaping to make the street a pedestrian-friendly thoroughfare between public transport services on Albany Highway and the Cannington train station.
“Under new density plans for the precinct, the Leila Street site can accommodate a four to six-storey building and a minimum of 50 dwellings so we are also expecting interest from long-term investors,” Ms Packer said.
Expressions of interest close on December 13.
