2017 was a year of strong growth for Colliers International’s burgeoning Lifestyle Estates division in Victoria, with a number of stunning properties listed throughout the state.
“We have discovered so many beautiful corners of Victoria from Newham to Strzelecki and Waratah Bay to Merricks,” Kim McQueen, Colliers International Director of Lifestyle Estates, said.
“A few highlights included selling 140 Punch Bowl Rd in San Remo for $6.5million following an extensive international selling campaign. This 300 acre cliff-top property had extensive views over Bass Strait and was sold to overseas investors.
“Another personal favourite was 1730 Korumburra Warragul Rd in Strzelecki. This beautiful property is located in one of Victoria’s most stunning and little known locations and sold for a record price for the region."
Ms McQueen expected 2018 would be another successful year in the lifestyle sector, with some unique property due to come to market.
“This year we also have a number of boutique accommodation businesses on the market including the Euroa Butter Factory and The Grande Hotel Hepburn Springs,” she said. “There has been renewed interest in many of these accommodation businesses given the Yes vote late last year and the expected increase in weddings as a result.
“We have developed a substantial database of lifestyle buyers over the past few years – people looking for their ideal country property or business. We are always looking for stunning properties to take to market and expect 2018 will be another busy one for our team.”
