New tenants and refurbishment for office building at 102 James Street
Perth City Link makes Northbridge office market more accessible.
Plans are being made to refurbish a six-storey Northbridge office building after a series of leasing deals and a renewal.
The refurbishment of the office building at 102 James Street will include an upgraded lobby and a new façade and is due to be finished by the middle of the year.
The new leases were negotiated by Colliers International’s Dustin May who said since the opening of Perth City Link, there had been a shift in tenants’ attitudes toward the office market in Northbridge.
“Perth City Link has improved pedestrian and road access to Northbridge’s office market which operates alongside some of Perth’s busiest restaurant and entertainment strips,” Mr May said.
The new tenants at 102 James Street include a 263sqm office occupied by Village Energy, which provides renewable energy to remote communities and a 121sqm office for Underwriting Agency of Australia Provider, which insures industrial and commercial plant and equipment.
Employment facilitator APM leased a 45sqm office and ANZ renewed a 200sqm lease.
Mr May said the leasing campaign would now focus on vacancies in the building’s third, fourth and sixth floors.
From its upper floors, the James Street building has views to RAC Arena and Royal Perth Hospital.
