This base building project covers the entire six levels of the 6,000 square metre building. The upgrades include back to shell demolition of all internal surfaces, new floors and ceilings, totally re-configured ground floor entry lobby, new upper floor lift lobbies, new bathrooms, construction of new basement End of Trip facilities, installation of roof top solar panels and external cosmetic building upgrades with new architectural features.
In repositioning the asset, CorVal took the opportunity to introduce new and exciting features that would improve the overall look, reflect best practice and attract quality incoming tenant/s.
Colliers International have been undertaking property and facilities management services for CorVal, at 17 Moore Street, Canberra for over four years. Colliers Project Services were appointed to deliver an integrated service offering to project manage the base building upgrade project.
This project is an excellent example of the adaptive reuse of an existing building, with the building transforming from a C class asset into a B+ class asset. The project was completed in July 2017 to the client's satisfaction and the building has now been handed back to the Colliers Real Estate Management division.
“Colliers ability to effectively manage the consultant and contractor team for a significant project with many elements is a credit to the experience and pro-activeness of the project management team, capably lead in Canberra. I have no hesitation in recommending Colliers Project Services, they have provided us with a team of people who work really well together, provide a high level of service, constant and relevant communication, who we can trust to get the job done to our expectations.”
