The Challenge 

Colliers International was engaged to procure one of the nation's first 5 Star GreenStar industrial facilities for Ricoh Australia. The new distribution centre needed the flexibility to expand by 20 per cent as their business grows - commitment free. The site houses Ricoh’s warehousing and distribution operations, plus office space for technical customer support and training.

The Strategy 

Our property strategy ensures the industrial facility will accommodate Ricoh’s existing and future distribution and warehousing needs. Critical to success is the site’s ability to expand by 20 per cent as Ricoh’s operations grow over the coming years. 

Our team prepared a market brief that captured the client’s complex requirements, developing a procurement strategy based on our understanding of market conditions and regulatory requirements that minimised time, cost and risk across the project. By negotiating an integrated solution incorporating the tenants needs in the project, we helped our client avoid costly retrofitting of the building to meet their requirements.

The Results 

Ricoh has a new distribution facility that meets future space and operations requirements. It has been designed to achieve a 5 Star Green Star rating. Efficient space planning positions Ricoh to deliver their products at the fastest possible speed-to-market, with capacity for significant growth as demand for their products grows.
